Немного истории

Opened in 1904 as a station on the Beijing-Hankou Railway, it originally had just one platform and four tracks. In 1908, the Kaifeng-Luoyang Railway began operation, making it an important junction. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, the station was severely damaged by Japanese air strikes in 1938 and by flood damage to tracks, suspending services. After the PLA took over in 1948, Mao Zedong visited in 1952 and instructed it be built as 'the largest and the most complete passenger station in the Far East.' Major renovations in 1987 added elevated waiting halls, and the west station building opened in 2010. In 2013, metro access began, and in 2015, the Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo Intercity Railway made it an integrated hub for conventional, high-speed, and intercity trains.
