This Western-style mansion was the home of Zhang Xueliang, also known as the 'Young Marshal,' a pivotal figure in modern Chinese history. Немного истории

Zhang Xueliang (1901–2001) was a warlord who controlled Manchuria and later played a key role in the Xian Incident of 1936, which forced Chiang Kai-shek to form a united front against Japan. He lived in this Tianjin residence from 1931 to 1933 before being placed under house arrest by Chiang. The building was later converted into a museum.
