Shicha Lake Park

Shicha Lake Park, also known as Shichahai, is a picturesque area in central Beijing comprising three interconnected lakes: Qianhai, Houhai, and Xihai. The park is a popular destination for both locals and tourists, offering a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Visitors can stroll along tree-lined paths, rent paddle boats, or simply sit by the water and watch the world go by. The area is surrounded by traditional hutong alleyways, historic courtyard homes, and lively bars and restaurants, especially around Houhai. In winter, the lakes freeze over and become a natural ice skating rink. The park is particularly beautiful at sunset when the water reflects the glowing sky and ancient architecture.
