They knew it was my husband's birthday and surprised us with a complimentary dessert, along with a heartfelt birthday song. It was such a sweet touch, and truly made the evening special. As for the food, while the menu options aren't extensive, everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the drinks were exceptional — a perfect complement to the meal. Nan and her team nailed it with their attentive service and genuine smiles. The spread was all about quality ingredients, which you could taste in every bite. The chicken soup noodle was the star for me. It had this homey, heartwarming flavor that kind of just hugged you from the inside. The noodles had that perfect chew, and the broth was seasoned to perfection. Everthing I tried was fresh, and you could tell they were all about the natural goodness of the ingredients. Even the veggies in the stir-fry had that just-picked taste. The ambiance added to the healing vibe, making it more than just a meal—it was like a mini-retreat. Impressively, we were able to place our order while still in line, and once seated, the food arrived in no time. The gentleman taking orders - perhaps the owner, but undoubtedly the soul of the place - creates an atmosphere that is nothing short of remarkable. Despite the crowd, he and the entire team exude warmth and professionalism, engaging with every guest, offering suggestions, and sharing smiles. As for the food, the Pad Thai is simply unparalleled - a masterpiece of flavor and texture! I wholeheartedly recommend this place for its delicious cuisine and welcoming ambiance. ✨ HighlightStayed here at beginning and end of our Thailand trip. Super helpful staff, allowed us to check in early (around 9am) when we arrived which was much appreciated. Generous breakfast buffet. nice little pool to cool off in. Great location - a quiet area near a busy one (Khao San Road area). 2 great restaurants nearby - Family Restaurant, and Duklong Cafe, latter has live music in a bar above it, but you can listen while at the cafe tables by the canal.→

✨ HighlightPrego is a good example of why I tend to avoid hotel restaurants. I allowed myself to get lured here by the happy hour cocktail special (2-for-1). To be fair, the cocktails tasted excellent, but after drinking 4 of them and not even having a slight buzz, even that turned out to be a disappointment. For food, we ordered several dishes to share. First, the pizza. I ordered it with extra tomato sauce and well done. They ignored both of those requests. PIzza was soft/limp/floury with barely any sauce. Gnocchi with tomato sauce and penne with salmon were much better, but the portion of salmon with the penne dish was pathetic. The worst part of the meal was the Lasagna. It was completely dried out and way beyond its prime. No one bothered to ask how our meal was. Also, they make everything extra complicated by not providing simple condiments on the table like olive oil and parmesan cheese; instead, you have to keep asking for everything extra all the time. For the same price we spent here, sitting outdoors in a terrible location enjoying a terrible meal, we could have gone to one of the city's top Italian places like Via Emilia and had a first class experience.→

The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The standout dish for me was the Pineapple Fried Rice—it was a burst of flavor with perfectly cooked rice, juicy chunks of pineapple, and just the right amount of seasoning. The combination of sweet and savory was spot on. I also tried the Tom Yum Goong, and it was everything I hoped for in a Thai soup. The broth was aromatic, rich, and tangy, with just the right kick of spice. The shrimp were fresh, and the flavors were balanced beautifully, making each spoonful a treat. Lastly, the Chicken with Cashews was tender and flavorful. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the cashews added a lovely crunch that complemented the savory sauce. Overall, Home Cafe Tha Tien delivered an unforgettable meal. The flavors were authentic, the service was friendly, and the dishes were served with great attention to detail. I can’t wait to return!→
