Heping Fandian

Heping Fandian, also known as the Peace Hotel, is a historic landmark on the Bund in Shanghai's Huangpu District. Originally built in 1929 as the Cathay Hotel by Victor Sassoon, it was renamed the Peace Hotel in 1956. It hosted dignitaries and celebrities, surviving Shanghai's turbulent 20th century and undergoing restoration in the 2000s.
