Forte de Santa Maria

Forte de Santa Maria is a well-preserved 17th-century fortification perched on the rocky edge of Porto da Barra Beach in Salvador. Originally built by the Portuguese to defend the Bay of All Saints, it now serves as a cultural space and popular viewpoint. Visitors can explore the thick stone walls, cannons, and ramparts while enjoying sweeping vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and the city's coastline. Um pouco de história
