Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Pópulo is a 16th-century church that was originally part of the Hospital Termal, a thermal hospital founded by Queen Leonor. Its Renaissance facade, with a simple yet elegant portal, gives way to an interior adorned with magnificent 18th-century azulejo panels depicting biblical scenes and the life of the Virgin Mary. The church's single nave is topped with a painted wooden ceiling, and the altar features a gilded retable. As one of the few remaining structures of the original hospital complex, it offers a glimpse into the town's healing heritage.
