Centennial Olympic Park is the 21-acre green heart of downtown Atlanta, the legacy of the 1996 Summer Olympics, and now the hub around which the city's top attractions cluster. Its centrepiece is the Fountain of Rings, an interactive fountain shaped like the Olympic rings where children (and adults) dash through choreographed water-and-music shows on hot days. Lawns, gardens, commemorative bricks, and event spaces make it a relaxed gathering place year-round, hosting concerts, festivals, and a holiday ice rink.

What makes it especially useful for visitors is its location: the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, the College Football Hall of Fame, and the SkyView Atlanta wheel all ring the park. Use it as your downtown base, relax on the lawns between attractions, and time a visit for a fountain show.

  • The interactive Fountain of Rings water shows
  • Lawns, gardens, and Olympic commemorative features
