Een stukje geschiedenis

Built in 1898–1901 for the Yeliseyev merchant family, the building originally housed a luxury grocery store that became a symbol of pre-revolutionary opulence. After the Bolshevik revolution, it was nationalized and continued operating as a state-run store. It has been restored to its former glory.
