Jamia Mosque, situated on Banda Street in the city center, is the principal mosque of Nairobi. Its architecture blends Islamic and Swahili styles, with twin minarets, ornate domes, and intricate calligraphy. The mosque can hold thousands of worshippers, and its courtyard is a hub of activity during prayer times. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome outside prayer hours, and modest dress is required.
