The Kaaba, a cube-shaped structure draped in black silk, stands at the center of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is the qibla, the direction Muslims face during prayer, and the focal point of the Hajj pilgrimage. Pilgrims circle the Kaaba seven times in a ritual known as Tawaf, often touching or kissing the Black Stone embedded in its eastern corner.
