Tsemo Castle, also known as Victory Fort, is a historic fortress ruin perched on a hill adjacent to the Namgyal Tsemo Monastery in Leh. Built in the 15th century by King Tashi Namgyal, it once served as the royal residence and a stronghold for the Namgyal dynasty. Today, visitors can explore the crumbling walls and structures, and enjoy sweeping views of the Leh valley and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. The site provides a tangible connection to Ladakh's pre-Tibetan Buddhist era and offers a quiet, contemplative atmosphere away from the town's bustle.
