KRI Pasopati (410) is a retired Soviet-built Whiskey-class submarine that served in the Indonesian Navy from 1962 until 1994. It is now preserved as a monument beside the river next to Delta Plaza in Surabaya. The hull has been slightly cut to add stairs and a door so visitors can go inside. A nearby building shows a short film about the submarine's history.

A bit of history
The submarine was originally a Soviet Project 613 Whiskey-class vessel (ex-Soviet submarine S-290). It was one of twelve delivered to the Indonesian Navy in 1962. During Operation Trikora in 1961, it transported marines and arms to the Indonesian army in West Irian and was badly damaged. After more than 30 years of service, it was retired in 1994, disassembled, moved to a spot near Plaza Surabaya, reassembled, and opened as a museum in 1998.
