The Chicago Theatre, a Beaux-Arts landmark on State Street, originally opened as a movie palace in 1921. Its iconic vertical sign and grand marquee are among the most photographed in the city. Inside, the auditorium dazzles with a vaulted ceiling, crystal chandeliers, and intricate plasterwork. Today it hosts concerts, comedy shows, and Broadway tours. Visitors can admire the lavish lobby and take guided tours on select days.
