College Football Hall of Fame

The College Football Hall of Fame, in downtown Atlanta, is a slick, highly interactive museum celebrating the uniquely American passion for college football. Far from a static collection, it's built around hands-on, immersive experiences: visitors get an RFID-enabled badge linked to their favourite team, which personalises the exhibits as they explore. The showpiece is a spectacular three-storey wall of 768 helmets representing college football programmes across the country, while the indoor playing field lets you test your passing, kicking, and agility skills. Exhibits cover the game's history, traditions, marching bands, rivalries, and the legendary players and coaches enshrined in the Hall.

It's a fun, energetic attraction even for casual fans, and a hit with families and sports lovers. Located beside Centennial Olympic Park (near the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola), it's easy to combine with Atlanta's other downtown attractions. Allow a couple of hours, more if you enjoy the interactive field.

The College Football Hall of Fame, run by the National Football Foundation, honours the sport's greatest players and coaches. After years in Indiana, it relocated to a purpose-built, technology-rich home in downtown Atlanta in 2014, beside Centennial Olympic Park.
