The Tlatelolco archaeological site preserves the remains of a powerful Aztec city that was a sister to Tenochtitlan. Its vast plaza was the site of a legendary market, and the Templo Mayor de Tlatelolco still stands. Visitors can walk among the stone platforms, view the temple's double staircase, and see the adjoining museum displaying pottery and sculptures from the site.
