The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is a monumental double-decked road-rail bridge that stands as a proud symbol of Chinese engineering. Completed in 1968, it was the first bridge designed and built by China without foreign assistance. Visitors can walk across the upper road deck to admire sweeping views of the Yangtze River and the city skyline, or take an elevator to the lower railway deck.
