Museum of Modern Art of Bahia

The Museum of Modern Art of Bahia (MAM-BA) is a modern art museum in Salvador, Brazil. It sits inside Solar do Unhão, a 16th-century historical site on the Bay of All Saints. You can see paintings, sculptures, photographs, and drawings by artists like Tarsila do Amaral, Portinari, and Di Cavalcanti across eight exhibition rooms.

קצת היסטוריה

The museum was founded in 1960 by architect Lina Bo Bardi. It first opened in the foyer of the Castro Alves Theater, then moved to its current location in 1963.
