Berlin Wall Memorial

The Berlin Wall Memorial (Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer) is a poignant and educational site that preserves a 1.4-kilometer stretch of the former border fortifications. Located on Bernauer Straße, it includes a preserved section of the wall, a watchtower, and an open-air exhibition that documents the history of the wall from its construction in 1961 to its fall in 1989.
