The Berlin TV Tower, or Fernsehturm, is a defining feature of the city's skyline, standing at 368 meters tall in Alexanderplatz. Built in the 1960s by the German Democratic Republic, it remains one of the tallest structures in Europe. Visitors can take a high-speed elevator to the observation deck at 203 meters, where they can enjoy 360-degree views of Berlin's landmarks, including the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, and the River Spree. The deck features a revolving restaurant, Sphere, which completes a full rotation every 30 minutes, allowing diners to see the entire city without leaving their seats. The tower's distinctive design, with a spherical top and slender shaft, makes it a must-visit for first-time tourists. On clear days, visibility extends up to 40 kilometers. The tower is especially magical at sunset when the city lights begin to twinkle.
