The Chicago Board of Trade Building stands as a masterpiece of Art Deco design at 141 W. Jackson Boulevard. Completed in 1930, it was once the tallest building in Chicago. Visitors can admire the ornate lobby with its marble walls and intricate ceiling murals depicting agricultural scenes. The building's exterior is crowned by a 31-foot aluminum statue of Ceres, the Roman goddess of grain, symbolizing the exchange's agricultural roots. Though the trading floor is now closed to the public, the building remains a vital financial hub and a must-see architectural landmark.
