✨ HighlightThis place was a highlight of my trip to Chicago. Crisp has tasty flavors for their chicken as well as huge quantities. The veggitable bowl was super refreshing, delicious, and paired well with the fried chicken. Make sure to grab a lot of napkins because it's messy work, and you're going to want to eat it all. Highly recommend!→

✨ HighlightI wish I could rate more than 5 stars. One of the most delicious and authentic vietnamese cusines as a high-end restaurant. The banh cuon and banh uot were extremely delicious and the pecking duck was tender, and the ginger sauce was both salty and sweet. Definitely worth the money; it’s hard to find high-end restaurants worth their value→

✨ HighlightAmazing 5-course tasting menu blending Filipino and Cuban flavors. Each of our dishes were complex layers of flavors woven into an amazing experience. Cooking techniques were spot on. All three of us had a different favorite dish (arroz caldo / octopus / dessert). Service was attentive and courses were well paced. Good sized portions and attractively balanced plates. Very enjoyable experience! My only (very minor) critique is that our menu was entirely very rich dishes - would have liked one lighter course. Note: Reservations only, no walk-ins→

✨ HighlightI found out this place through Instagram reels, and was not disappointed when I came to visit. The store felt very similar to malls in China, and everything was clean and organized. The food options here are particularly unique, with everything from claypot to dim sum to sushi. We tried food from the 312 Fish Market, the claypot stall, and the Northeastern Food Stall. The mala beef burrito (麻辣牛肉卷)was definitely the best bang for your buck, but the salmon don had some of the best quality fish I've tasted. The claypot rice got better with time (I enjoyed it more as leftovers than in the initial meal), and the greens were tender and perfect for balancing out the meal. We also stopped at the bakery stall, which offered a fresh selection of bakery classics in addition to some trendy items such as puddings, mousses, and soufflé cakes. The cake was light and fluffy and the egg tarts had an excellent flaky pastry crust. I can't wait to come back and try more stalls! The boba shop downstairs also looked quite promising.→

✨ HighlightCome Early for the Pastries—but Be Ready to Wait If you’re planning to visit Kasama, make sure to get there early! I arrived around 8:10, and there were already people waiting in line—even in freezing rain. This spot is definitely popular, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. When it comes to the savory food, it was good but not particularly memorable. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the long wait—it’s solid, but nothing that blew me away. Now, the pastries? Absolutely worth it! I tried four different kinds, and each one was delicious. I’d gladly wait in line again just to get my hands on those pastries. If you’re a fan of baked goods, this is definitely the place to go!→

✨ HighlightIf you love sushi and find yourself in Chicago, look no further than Sushi Dokku! One of the coolest concepts I have been to in recent memory. We made reservations for the Booze Box downstairs below the main dining area. It is intimate and dark. Booth seating surrounds the bar and a DJ booth sets in the corner for the weekend events. The menu is full of surprises and you need to try a little bit of everything. The salad prepared our taste buds by waking them up. We then got punched with flavor and heat by the Hot Daisy roll. Then soothed by the dumplings only to be mesmerized by the unmatched flavor and perfection of the lamb chops. Do not sleep on these chops! Eat them now! Enjoy!→

✨ HighlightHad a really enjoyable experience dining at the bar. The atmosphere and vibes are wonderful. The food was so good! I’d love to come back so I could try other dishes on their menu! We ordered the crab noodle dish that was delicious and my guava drink was also very refreshing. Forgot to take photos of those. The grilled seafood platter was cooked perfectly! Excited to come back!→

✨ HighlightI was told this place is run by a a guy who is Polish Korean. I appreciate it when people find ways to meld ingredients from 2 countries that are worlds apart. And this place does it well! It’s also connected to Maria’s, a cool bar, where we sat and ate our delicious meal. The highlights were the perogies with soy sour cream and the hot dog with Korean toppings. 10/10 meal! I couldn’t get enough. I asked a couple people about this place before going and one person had been there like 8 years ago and was able to explain everything in detail! So it clearly leaves an impression. Also heard they rotate the menu.→

✨ HighlightFor my money, Arun’s is the finest dining establishment in the city of Chicago. This is my go to for special occasions: graduations, anniversaries, etc, because the meal quality is consistently excellent and the service is impeccable. Also, the decor is amazing and unique (Arun’s brother painted the walls!). The prices here are unbeatable when compared with restaurants in the same tier. Frankly, I almost wish that Arun’s would start charging more because I want this restaurant to be around for a long time. There is no place like Arun’s!→
