Ein Stück Geschichte

Fukuoka Castle was built in the early 17th century by Kuroda Nagamasa, a daimyo of the Kuroda clan. It served as the seat of the Fukuoka Domain until the Meiji Restoration. Much of the castle was destroyed during the Boshin War and subsequent fires, leaving only the stone foundations and a few gates. The visitor center was established to preserve and interpret this history.
