Emamzadeh Saleh

Emamzadeh Saleh is a significant religious shrine located in the Tajrish neighborhood of northern Tehran. It is the burial place of Saleh, a descendant of Imam Musa al-Kadhim, the seventh Shia Imam. The shrine is a popular pilgrimage site for Shia Muslims, especially on religious holidays. The architecture is notable for its gleaming golden dome and minarets, which contrast with the surrounding Alborz mountains. Inside, the mausoleum is adorned with intricate mirror mosaics (ayeneh-kari) and fine tile work, creating a dazzling effect. Visitors are required to dress modestly, and women must cover their hair. The complex also includes a courtyard with a large pool, and nearby is the Tajrish Bazaar, making it a cultural hub.
