Xiamen railway station is a downtown train station on Xiamen Island, near the city center. It serves both conventional trains and high-speed D-series trains, making it a major transportation hub in Fujian Province and a connection point between the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta.

A bit of history
The station opened on April 17, 1957. In 2012, an upgrade began to increase tracks from 5 to 9 and platforms from 3 to 5, along with rebuilding the main building to relieve crowding.
