Tosh Gate, meaning 'Stone Gate,' is one of the few surviving gates of Khiva's outer defensive wall, Dishan Kala. Built from large stone blocks, it once controlled access to the city's residential and commercial outskirts. Unlike the ornate inner gates, Tosh Gate is stark and functional, with a single arched passage and remnants of guard rooms. Visitors can explore the gate's sturdy structure and imagine its role in protecting the city from invaders. The gate is less frequented, offering a quieter glimpse into Khiva's layered history.

Don't miss

  • Touch the rough stone blocks that have weathered centuries of desert climate.
  • Explore the small chambers inside the gate that once housed guards.
  • Walk along the adjacent sections of the Dishan Kala wall for views of the surrounding landscape.
