Polvon Gate stands as a grand entrance to Khiva's Itchan Kala, its massive wooden doors and arched portal evoking the city's medieval past. Named for the legendary poet, philosopher, and wrestler Pahlavon Mahmud, the gate features intricate tilework and calligraphy.
