Lab-i Hauz is a tranquil public square in Bukhara centered on a large pool, or hauz, built in the 16th century. The plaza is flanked by three monumental buildings: the Kukeldash Madrasa, the Nadir Divan-Begi Madrasa, and the Nadir Divan-Begi Khanqah. This ensemble creates a harmonious architectural setting where locals and tourists gather to relax. Visitors can stroll along the water, admire the intricate tilework, and enjoy the shade of centuries-old mulberry trees. It remains a lively social hub, especially in the evening.
