The Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah stands opposite the older Ulugh Beg Madrasah in Bukhara's historic center. Built in 1652, it is celebrated for its lavish decoration, including intricate mosaic tiles, majolica, and carved marble. The large courtyard is surrounded by two-story cells for students, with a grand iwan at each end. Visitors can admire the vibrant geometric patterns and calligraphy on the walls, and climb to the roof for views of the city. The madrasah also houses a small museum of woodcarving and a souvenir shop.
