Food came out hot and fast. Service at the table was standard. What stood out to me was the smile and welcome from the hostess. She was warm and charming. Even the bus boy had a smile. Overall, good food, but again, DC prices with a mandatory 22% gratuity added for standard service even though we were only a party of 3. The server did not go above and beyond for a 22% gratuity to be added on and we weren't notified it was mandatory. Not sure this is why the table service was kinda standard....because he already knew he was getting 22%.
Came here for dinner with a friend. My first time here and the experience was good. The food was good. We got the catfish tender, fried green tomatoes for apps. For dinner we got the jerk fried catfish and gumbo. Everything was good. The ambiance was quite loud but it's a very popular spot. Especially for after work. I would definitely go back again.
The food wasn't good and it was noisy. It felt like a club, so if you are looking for a cozy restaurant with comfort food. This place is not it!!! But if you looking for a bar that serves food Georgia Browns is that.
Loud but enjoyable dinner at GBs. Fried green tomatoes. Calimari. Grilled jerk catfish. Sweet potato cheesecake (my fav part of the meal) absolutely delicious. Service was good but packed and felt constantly in the way of guests passing by our table. Music was loud for the space (performer) but very solid group.
