Food was all smushed together in a take out container. Fish sauce was all over my yams and mac n cheese. Mac n cheese only has taste of flour and pepper. I'm Caribbean it's not even good macaroni pie. Corn bread is heavy and not good. My fiance had flavorless rice and beans, ribs and plantains were edible at best. Worst $45 spent. Saw a video awhile back on instagram of this place. So it’s been on our list of places to try. And my gawd was it worth it! Not only were the meats some Smokey delicious goodness but the sides!! Oh my the sides. We had the greens, rice & peas, plantains and Mac & cheese SOO good! Not to mention they had kool-aid as a drink option! The staff suggested mixing the available flavors and that was the right call. Speaking of the staff they were so friendly and helpful. Giving the run down on everything along with what they were out of. Will for sure be returning! I need to try the burnt ends!
And that goes DOUBLE for Lil Red's! Huge menu, not sure if the website has the full and complete offerings, as there's curried goat as well as all the Jerk spiced foods and barbeque standards! My gal said the smoked brisket was the best she'd ever had! The smoked turkey sammy was super! The yams were too sweet for us, but that's being picky! We plan on picking up a whole smoked turkey for the holidays! Great Q!
After trying multiple barbecue joints in the Seattle area, I was beginning to think delicious brisket was unattainable.....Enter Lil Red. Best brisket ever...fall apart tender without a knife, mac and cheese was divine, mashed potatoes were heavenly and the cornbread needed no butter or honey. I WILL BE BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN!
