This review is late as we are saying goodbye to Bistro La Minette this month, but it’s still worth saying thank you and adieu. My husband and I have been going here for ~7 years. We had our 4th date here, celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and just cravings for the chicken or other tasty bites. The food has always been excellent, but it’s the staff that always made it shine. Thank you for happy memories.
I'm so sad they are closing! Very grateful to come in for one last meal here, and to celebrate a 5th anniversary with my love made it truly special. What a fantastic experience - the best food, service, ambiance. Every detail is perfection.
This was my second time and I will be back. The atmosphere feels very French but in a comfortable way. The high ceilings, beautiful photography, on the walls, and general decor is inviting and authentic. We ordered a lot both times I visited. I love the mini gougeres amouse bouche, the salad vert was light and perfect alongside a delicious steak au poivre. Yesterday we had foie gras, escargot, and a decadent toast with a poached egg, mussels and a creamy sauce. And the gnocchi on both visits was so good. Pan toasted but trust me, they could not have been lighter on the inside. Finished with pot de creme and a scrumptious mille feuille that I didn't want to end. Or server was attentive and made excellent suggestions.I love this place!
In Philly (staying nearby) and chose this restaurant purely by chance. Had an all-round good experience. Ryan was a lovely waiter, the ambiance was good, very authentic, the food was a delicious. Attentive staff, polite and friendly. Not cheap, but the nicest eating experience we’ve had on our current USA road trip. Very surprised to see some bad reviews on TripAdvisor.
