Mammoth Mountain is a prominent volcanic peak in the Sierra Nevada, rising over 11,000 feet. In winter, it becomes a premier ski destination with extensive terrain for all levels, while summer offers hiking, mountain biking, and scenic gondola rides to the summit. The panoramic views from the top stretch across the Eastern Sierra, Mono Lake, and the Minarets. Visitors can also explore volcanic features like the Earthquake Fault and the Devils Postpile nearby.
