This place is a staple of LA Mexican food especially for seafood. The taco de camaron is their mainstay with their very crunchy shell and sauce and tender shrimp and fillings. Their ceviche is also excellent especially when I order tostada mixto which comes with octopus fish and shrimp together which goes together very well and it is very tender. I would love to come back to try their Poseidon and peinados. The staff is very chill and orderly and the seating is basically just the establishment across from it. The parking is somewhat hard to find when it's a popular time but you'll eventually find parking if you look jaes enough.
Such a good deal & great quality food We stopped by on a Sunday and waited in line for 10 min, waited for food for 10-15min, took it home and it was fantastic! Hole in the wall place with nowhere to sit at the time we went; some people were eating outside standing up or on the curb outside. What we got: Poseidon (octopus) taco, tacos de camaron (shrimp), tostada Poseidon, ceviche de pescado -- all for ~$26 -- would get the Poseidon tostada and shrimp tacos again! -- ceviche tostada was a good deal but not as much flavor as the Poseidon tostada -- wouldn't recommend doubling up on the Poseidon tostada AND taco: get something else instead! Cash only place. Service was quick and nice. Be ready to wait if you're going on a weekend and be prepared to take it elsewhere to eat! But sooo worth it for the prices
This has to be the best ceviche I've ever had. They serve it on a food truck and they have some seats by the truck to enjoy your food. Now you're thinking theres no way the food is fresh if its served on a truck. Well the quality and textures here are 5 stars. My friends and I ordered the Tacos de Camaron, Poseidon and Mixta. The octopus and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Not too chewy and the combination of citrus with their house made salsa were perfect. Between the 4 of us this was plenty of food. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. Wait times can be long, but well worth it. Theres a big parking lot across the street and plenty of street parking around the corner. I would recommend eating right away as the food can get soggy.
Brick-and-mortar location of the original food truck. The hard shell shrimp tacos are the best in all of LA. There’s something so addicting about biting into that crispy shell into the delicious mix of shrimp, avocado, and salsa. Top it off with some lime and a few dabs of the fiery red hot sauce, and you’ve got yourself a little bite of heaven. It’s $2.25 plus tax per taco (there’s no tax when you go to the food truck though) so it’s also easy on the wallet. I’d suggest getting 3-4 for a meal. There’a street parking in the front and there’s also a park down the block where you could hypothetically picnic at. There is a small parking lot although it was full when we were there. They take credit cards. There is seating although right now there’s no dine-in due to covid. You can’t go wrong eating the shrimp tacos here but they do offer other items like ceviche tostadas. If you can’t get to the food truck, then definitely come here to get your fix.
