Super creative foods with amazing flavors. One of the most interesting restaurants we've been to in a few years. We kept ordering additional dishes, not because we were hungry, but because we wanted to try more flavors. The Spicy Fried-Rice with 6 minute egg was amazing. The squash crepe was very subtle but again many flavors. Even the Hummus which we thought would be basic, was the opposite. A wheat poori like bread was served along with a garlic chutney which complemented a great Hummus. And the meat dishes were also super creative and they also have very decent burger. The cocktails and wines were also very tasty. Once they get awards this place will be hard to make a reservation at so experience them now.
Delicious food (vegan options), amazing drinks, attentive service and cozy ambiance! Great for a romantic dinner or a group. Highly recommend the Fried Mushrooms and the Brussel Sprouts. Also had their hot toddy style cocktail that was so good!! Wish vegan dessert option was better. Not a fan of the vegan dessert. Will definitely go back, more things to try!
This is a stunning restaurant with super delicious food. Our brunch was more than we expected. Service was perfect, from the moment we checked in to the server who took our order. We sat in a gorgeous open air space with the LA sun shining down on us. Steak frites, lobster congee and the breakfast egg sandwich were all standouts and our plates were empty. Can’t figure out what was in the butter that came with our biscuits but it was SO good. Can’t wait to come to Redbird again.
My coworker and I went to Redbird after a successfully multi-day work event. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation, but were immediately taken to our table, right in the middle of the dining room. We were given water and then waited what seemed like ages for our server. Considering the restaurant wasn’t very busy at this point, we were both surprised. When the server came to our table, she took our drink order and explained a few things about the menu. We were actually all ready to order and got an appetizer to share and two very different entrees. We were given an order of complimentary cheese bread, which was a nice surprise, then it took ages for our appetizer, the Parker House rolls, to arrive. When they did finally come, the server apologized and we were given an additional dish, the snap peas, as a mea culpa (they did also take the rolls off our ticket). The rolls were delish as was the date butter, but we only ate half of them to save room four our entrees. The peas were not really to our taste, but it was a bonus item and we enjoyed tasting another dish. For our meal, my coworker got the tofu with fried wild rice. She really liked the marinaded and sauced tofu, but she found the rice a bit too crispy for her taste. I had the garganelli with wild boar sugo and it was superb. It was rich and creamy with a bit of heat. While the food was very good, the service needed a little work, especially as they did get busier, our server almost seemed more attentive and present. Also, they were unable to do two separate checks, so instead, we had to calculate it and tell her how much to charge to each card. I’m not sure why their system is unable to ring up two separate checks. All the same, even with the service snags, highly recommend the food and the setting was beautiful.
