Mamak, absolutely delicious Malaysian cuisine. We ordered the chicken fried rice ( spicy ), very tasty. My absolute favorite was the 3 pepper beef, crazy flavors full of delicious taste. Definitely see myself coming back for that. Also ordered the Mango Chicken which was sweet and savory, nice crunch to the fried mango chicken with mango slices. The ambience inside of Mamak is beautiful. Quick service. The restaurant is in a strip so there maybe a wait time depending on the time you're going. Great place to have lunch or dinner, you'll leave full and happy!
Mamak has a big menu. It was hard to choose. I'll have to come back. We went there with another couple. We ordered so many things! Everything was very good. Some dishes were excellent. Those include: The chicken wing appetizer Fish and tofu Beef brisket- so tender! Roti We will definitely be back!!!
***FOOD: Very Very hearty & tasty food. Loved almost everything we ordered. SHRIMP FRIED RICE - very good & large portion; CHOW KWAY TEOW - love the noodles & tofu was so good; INDIAN MEE GORENG - authentic & it tasted so good; RENDANG BEEF - our favorite dish, so delicious, really the highlight of our meal; SATAY SKEWERS - little disappointed, didn't expect it to be fried, dipping sauce was so good ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$ Pretty good. Entrees were about $15-23. ***DÉCOR: Nice blend of contemporary & Malay country flourishes & plants ***SERVICE: Wowzers! i don't even think we waited 10mins before all our food started coming out. Everything was out within 15mins & we basically were there 30-45mins from time we sat down, ordered, ate & paid our bill. They are super fast efficient & friendly. ***RECOMMEND: Yes Highly RECOMMEND for the food and definitely would go back again if in the mood for Malaysian food or in the area
Great Malaysian food - just expensive. I worked in KL for maybe a couple months about 20 years ago, so I know the food pretty well. Really enjoyed my lunch, but man it is kind of pricey. Apparently there are no weekday lunch specials?!?
