Connel Bridge is a striking cantilever bridge that crosses the narrows of Loch Etive near Oban. Built in 1903, its single 524-foot span was once the longest of its kind in Britain. The bridge carries a single-track road and a footpath, allowing visitors to walk across and take in sweeping views of the loch, the surrounding hills, and the Falls of Lora, a tidal rapid that forms beneath the bridge. It's a popular spot for photography and watching the powerful currents.
