Really enjoyed dinner here! I traveled about an hour to dine after reading many great reviews. I will say the food is excellent and service is very good. It was a unique experience. Intimiate dining area with only a few tables. They course everything out nicely. Service is attentive. I would say it’s absolutely worth going, but wish I was not staying so far from it. Overall I enjoyed the authentic French dishes and would recommend to a friend!
Very quaint frenchy place. I feel like I was transported to a Parisian bistro in Paris. The menu is also very French, though I was surprised to find black pudding in my veal sweetbread dish. Portion is also rather big. The wine list is very good for a restaurant of this size in uk. Overall, I’m very happy with the place and intend to come back.
One of my top restaurant experiences in London. Impeccable and WARM service. Fancy but friendly. The ambience is sumptious yet cozy. Staff is affable. Otto himself is very personable, funny and gracious - offering me a glass of Champagne moments after I entered. The food is delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere, menu and prices might suggest a very pretentious restaurant but it was not stuffy at all. The restaurant does a great job of making guests feel at home and encourages lingering over meals. It's a wonderful experience.
We had our staff Christmas party here on Friday. I can not speak highly enough of the food nor the brilliant service we received from the staff there. We had the space downstairs, a long table for 20. You didn't feel cramped, everyone had space to eat comfortably, could move around to chat with someone at the other end of the table without disturbing your neighbours. If felt that the team at Ottos weren't trying to cash in on Christmas by cramming us in but rather wanted us to have a special evening. The menu was a set menu but with choice enough for everyone. I had an amazing risotto for my main but according to the other guests the lamb wellington was the stand-out dish. I can not wait to go back with a group of friends to try more dishes.
