Pulteney Bridge is one of only a handful of bridges in the world with buildings built across its full span, designed by Robert Adam in the 1770s. It crosses the River Avon, connecting the city center to the Georgian suburb of Bathwick. The bridge is lined with small shops and boutiques, and its most famous view is from downstream, where the weir creates a dramatic waterfall. The structure is a Grade I listed building and a beloved symbol of Bath's architectural heritage.
