Windermere Jetty Museum, set on the shores of Lake Windermere, is a celebration of the lake's maritime heritage. The museum houses a remarkable collection of vintage steamboats, launches, and sailing boats, many of which are still in working order. Interactive exhibits bring to life the engineering and social history of steam on the lake. Visitors can step aboard the steam launches, explore the boatyard, and even see the conservation workshop. The museum's architecture, with its copper-clad roof and jetty extending into the lake, is a highlight in itself.

Don't miss

  • Board the 1850 steam launch 'Dolly' and other historic vessels.
  • Watch boat restorations in the conservation workshop.
  • Enjoy the lakeside setting and views from the museum's jetty.
