Sorry to say. We had Three extraordinarry good food experiences until now on the resort and decided for a lunch in the Vespa restaurant. Food with no taste, waited an hour for our main course and was served warm sweet whitevine where we had a wish for cold and dry white. Sorry to say, but thats a no return for us.
First of all - my friend booked the table and was told that the restaurant was fully booked and if she is even one minute late, we will lose the table There was no one else in the restaurant but us, for good 2-3 hours Secondly- the food was of average quality, with extremely small portions. My husband ordered asparagus soup and beef lasagna. Both were microwaved poorly, too hot on the outside and cold on the inside. My friend’s red snapper size was two bites. We even made a joke with the server “ is this a child meal” - she didn’t understand the joke, nor cared about direct complaint that the portion is ridiculous size Lastly - service. We were the only people in the restaurant until the end, yet always had to look out for a waiter. Also, the waiter couldn’t explain the “special offer” in a way that any one of us could understand. It turn out - it was exactly the same as it was listed in a regular menu. Overall- we won’t be rushing back
Our second visit to the Vespa and it didn’t disappoint, our food was excellent and well presented with superb service from Mon.
Very good quality Italian food, supernicely served by Mon! We took Caprese, Seabass and the regional version of Lasagne, indeed quite good even without pork: worthy of trying. Well done! Good selection of wine: my Pinot Grigio was excellent.
