Went without a reservation. Due to the perfect weather they opened up the roof. Service was quick. Is it Guide Michelin mentioning quality? Not really. Was the food good? Yes. Quite a lot of options, maybe too many.
Overrated, the foos is normal not very good. The service was so so bad as if they pay you to eat. They let you feel as if you are not welcomed. One of the Philippines waiter was good with us. The Syrian waiter told me you are sitting next to the cabinet serve yourself. The coffee is so bad. Never ever again.
On my last trip to Dubai, I had the pleasure of eating in one of Dubai’s two Michelin One Star Arabic restaurants. The Bait Maryam Dubai which we ate in is located in the JLT (Jumeirah Lake Towers) suburb of Dubai. The Bait Maryam is divided into two separate dining rooms. The one we ate in is more like the original house of Maryam, hence its’ name, as it has many antiques and humble tables with modest, but nice furnishings throughout. The other appears to be more of a terrace or garden atmosphere. We started with many of the Mezza items and a few salads, each was great and unbelievably delicious. The Maryan Salad was particularly good as it was with: Beetroot, Rocca and yogurt. For our entrées, the majority of our party twelve had Bait Maryam’s specialty: Mansaf, which is a dish of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served rice. Everyone that had ordered this particular dish claimed it was scrumptious. Two of my grandson’s had ordered the Lamb chops and I had the Shrimp with Cilantro. Both were outstanding! We were all very full, thus none of us ordered dessert. If you really want to taste and enjoy true Arabic food you should try Bait Maryam, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
Amazing restaurant, tasty food, cozy design. Also extremely friendly and helpful stuff, thank you very much! We’ve tried different kinds of dishes and all were tasty. Every suggestion made by our waiter was great. Highly recommended!
