Tropicana Field is the domed stadium home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team, located in St. Petersburg. Opened in 1990, it is one of the few remaining domed stadiums in MLB. The field features a distinctive catwalk system that can affect play, and a 40,000-square-foot touch tank with cownose rays in the outfield, where fans can interact with the animals. The stadium also includes a museum, team store, and various food options. Despite its quirks, it offers an intimate baseball experience.
Don't miss
- Visit the Rays Touch Tank in the outfield to pet live cownose rays during the game.
- Check out the Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame inside the stadium.
- Look up at the catwalks; balls hitting them remain in play, adding a unique element to the game.
