The Stroganov Palace is a magnificent Baroque residence located on Nevsky Prospect, St. Petersburg's main thoroughfare. Built in the 1750s for the wealthy Stroganov family, it was designed by the renowned architect Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who also designed the Winter Palace. Today, it operates as a museum, part of the Russian Museum complex. Visitors can explore lavishly decorated state rooms, including the grand ballroom and the family's private apartments, which feature original stucco work, gilded wood carvings, and parquet floors. The palace also houses a collection of decorative arts, such as porcelain, furniture, and paintings, reflecting the opulent lifestyle of the Russian aristocracy.
