The Lahaina, Kaanapali and Pacific Railroad, affectionately known as the Sugar Cane Train, is a vintage steam locomotive that takes passengers on a 12-mile round trip between Lahaina and Kaanapali. The journey passes through former sugarcane fields and along the coast, with live narration about Maui's plantation history and local lore. Visitors can enjoy open-air cars, ocean views, and a nostalgic experience that harks back to the early 20th century when sugar was king in Hawaii.
