✨ Highlight- [ ] It has been quite a while since I enjoyed a meal at State of Grace. We used to love it but in recent years felt that the food had gone down hill. We were excited when the menu revamp was announced and made a Saturday night dinner reservation with friends. Upon arrival we were seated in the small side room that is used for private dining. Originally disappointed to not be in the main dining room, it ended up being nice because it was fairly quite. We placed cocktail drink right away but they didn't make it to the table for around 20 minutes. This remained the case for the entire meal. Things we liked - the complimentary bread service, tuna tartare. Things we didn't like - everything else. The filet, asparagus and cacio e pepe were all drowning in salt and butter. The chicken was just ok and even the texas pecan ball was too salty. Super disappointed because we used to love this neighborhood restaurant but the new menu, while bigger, is not better than the old one.→

✨ HighlightWe had high tea here for my daughter’s birthday. The restaurant is gorgeous! The staff is so nice, and professional. They gave us the private room which is beautiful. There was a harpist there, and she played Happy Birthday when our lovely server brought in a platter of sweets and a candle. I probably would not return to do the tea again, but would come to eat off the regular menu. I’ve been to other places with better high teas. Our server was amazing though!→

✨ HighlightWe came here for HRW. You get 4 courses for $55. I enjoyed all of my courses. The tempura cauliflower was nice and spicy and the portion size was decent. The butter burger was my favorite. It was on a toasted bun and was so moist and buttery and delicious. The market fish was light and very flavorful. The bees knees dessert was also great. Plenty of parking and the service was great. The main pasta dish (tagliatelle Nero) was also prepared very well although it could have used a little more spice and salt. ✨ HighlightCongratulations on the Michelin star, well deserved! We went here for dinner during a weekday and it was busy. Recommend reservations. They have valet parking and the restaurant is inside the Museum. Lovely ambience and great service, the servers and the chefs make sure that you experience is pleasant. We tried their autumn menu and the options were plenty. Loved their ravioli, pasta and scallops. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and we could feel the premium quality of the ingredients.
