Swan House

The Swan House is a stunning 1928 mansion located on the grounds of the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead. Designed by architect Philip Trammell Shutze for the Inman family, it blends classical revival and Italian Renaissance styles. Visitors can tour the elegantly furnished rooms, including the grand hall, library, and bedrooms, which showcase original family heirlooms and period decor. The house is surrounded by manicured gardens with fountains, a boxwood parterre, and a swan-shaped pool. The experience offers a glimpse into the lives of Atlanta's elite during the early 20th century. The property also includes the Smith Family Farm, a 19th-century farmhouse, and the Centennial Olympic Games Museum, all included with admission.

A bit of history

Built in 1928 for cotton magnate Edward Inman and his family, the Swan House was named for the swan motif found throughout the property. It was donated to the Atlanta History Center in 1966 and restored to its original grandeur.
