Salmacis Fountain, once a famous spring in ancient Halicarnassus, is linked to the myth of the nymph Salmacis who merged with Hermaphroditus. The fountain's waters were said to weaken men who drank from it. Today, visitors can see the remains of the fountain structure, including stone basins and channels, set in a tranquil spot near the harbor. It offers a glimpse into ancient daily life and mythology, though little water flows now.
