The Basilica of Damous El Karita is a sprawling early Christian complex dating from the 4th to 6th centuries. It includes a large basilica with nine naves, a baptistery, and an extensive network of catacombs carved into the soft rock. Visitors can explore the underground burial chambers with their loculi (niches) and see well-preserved mosaic floors depicting geometric patterns and Christian symbols. The site's scale is impressive, reflecting Carthage's importance as a Christian center.
