Ancient Carthage is an extensive archaeological site spread across the suburbs of Tunis, preserving the remains of one of the ancient world's great civilizations. Founded by Phoenicians in the 9th century BC, it was later rebuilt by the Romans. Visitors can explore the Antonine Baths (once the largest outside Rome), the Punic ports, Roman villas with mosaics, and the Tophet sanctuary. The site offers a fascinating walk through millennia of history, with stunning views over the sea and modern Sidi Bou Said.
